Galdogob Police Arrest Man Accused of Killing Wife in Case That Shocks Community

Police in Galdogob district, Mudug region, have arrested a man accused of killing his wife in a case that has horrified residents and sparked renewed concerns over domestic violence.

Authorities identified the suspect as Farah Hassan Aden, who allegedly killed his wife, Samsam Mohamed Hashi, following a heated domestic dispute. Family members told local media the conflict stemmed from long-standing tensions between the couple.

The Mudug regional police command confirmed the incident occurred in Galdogob town and emphasized the swift response of local officers.

“The Mudug regional police force, especially at the Galdogob district station, has arrested the suspect Farah Hassan Aden, who is accused of killing the late Samsam Mohamed Hashi, his wife. He will be brought before the competent court,” the command said in a statement.

The suspect remains in custody at the Galdogob police station pending trial.

Samsam Mohamed, a mother of seven, leaves behind a grieving family and a shaken community still grappling with the brutality of the killing.
